Lonely and forgotten....what a sad image.

Somehow the snow seems to make it even more desolate and forgotten, and I love the fenceline angling by the house and then on out to the horizon. Very nice use of composition to capture the viewer's attention.

nicely done.

Great solitary feel Rick.
I also think the fence line adds well here, draws me in and makes me wonder what is over the horizon.

Thanks to each of you. This place became a cattle ranching area around the 1900's after the people realized that the soil was not suitable for raising the crops they wished such as wheat, oats and barley.
