A Barred Owl was spotted on yesterday afternoon's short trip to Clark County SFL, Kansas with a birder friend of mine. We heard two of them along the (dry) creek leading to the small lake. A Barred Owl is a fairly good find for this far west (south of Dodge City, KS).

Thanks. I would agree, still trying to master the long lens technique.. waiting for the heavy duty Gitzo to arrive which should help
