p.1 #1 · Tetons from Yellowstone Lake

Seen from a hillside looking over Yellowstone Lake, trees in foreground were burnt.

Maybe crispy. But what drama! Is this IR?

Hey Steve,

Nice work here. It doesn't really look to crispy to me. Nice job with the B&W. Did you get any longer shots with just the Teton range in it from that location? Or ones where you were tighter with just the lake as a lead in to the shot? I like what you got here, but my heart is longing for a tighter shot of the Tetons.

Boy Steve, I would love to see this in color! The clouds are great and against a nice blue sky with reflections in the lake...schweeeet!
Nice work in B/W.

This certainly isn't a perspective you see a lot of the Tetons. Great image. I agree with Dan and would love to see this in color as well!

Thank you all for kind comments, I used LR4 and Nik for BW conversion. color was very flat plus all the trees in the forground leading up to the lake were dead not much for color and a bit late in the day when I got there so the lake was wind whipped and washed out, can't be everywhere at sunrise!

I don’t recall seeing the Tetons from this location before Steve.

Hi Morris, 22,000 posts vs now 5 in 5 years for me I can see how I have a credibility gap, I was about 8 miles east of Fishing Bridge on Hwy 20 at Lake Butte a short drive up the hill to the overlook nothing extrenous simple setup in the parkinglot with my wife looking out for bears.

This is really beautiful. Excellent post-processing. I would never have guessed that you had to "save" this one from bad conditions.
