Small, fast, tough and gorgeous- these guys are always thrilling to see in relative closeup- as here.
All I see of them is sitting atop telephone poles and as my car approaches, they fly off, circle around and then land again on the pole- making sure I keep going before they land.
These are all excellent images, Howard, although the first appeals to me a bit more than the others.
