It was snowing and breezy when I got to Dolly Sods late afternoon Oct 8th. I set up my gear and waited for the snow to stop and prayed for a break in the clouds. Around 15 minutes before sunset, the sun peeked through a small break and painted the bottom of an area of clouds with some nice light. It only lasted a little over a minute but was worth the 4 hour drive and wait.
