This week was lucky enough to register the mating of this lovely couple. Was about to left hand a flower to portrait the male, noticed a female in the same flower.
The male embraced the female in a fast and definite way, by lateral movement of legs making justice to the name "crab spider".
The whole thing lasted about 40 seconds, the first picture shows how the male firmly embraced his female to assure the mating.

That is the lateral view of the mating, NOTHING will prevent this male from passing genes from this safe position.

The female was kind enough to lift allowing a view of the male transferring the sperm sac.
