A few more from my recent trip in the American west. Unfortunately I had only one night in Death Valley so I had to make the most of it. I did sunset at Badwater and the next morning got up early to make the sunrise at Zabriskie Point. When I got there (early) there was only one other photographer, a youngish fellow with a large view camera! Nice to see something different to the usual DSLRs. Within a few minutes we were joined by one other photographer, then fifteen minutes later about a dozen Germans appeared and soon we were all shoulder to shoulder. That's what happens when you go to the easy to reach spots I guess.
The sunrise was not too bad, but the lack of cloud meant it lacked punch, so I mostly stuck to compositions that limited or excluded the sky. These are a few of the better images I captured that morning.
All comments welcome.
cheers,
Glen.
