p.2 #1 · I know I am crazy but...

I'm walking about from a guaranteed 6-figure income for doing something I love and am passionate about (photography) and being able to spend more time with my family actually living life rather than working all the time. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Gee, I must have been doing it wrong. I left photography to get a Computer Science degree so I could spend more time, especially the weekends, with my family. Perhaps is was because I was primarily a commercial/industrial photographer and normally put in 45-50 hours during the work week. Weddings were even more overtime.

As far as the HP job goes, it sounded pretty rugged. I know it was a hard decision. It took courage to decline.

^ obviously it can go both ways. It's not about choosin the corporate job or the non corporate job but rather it's about priorities.

as long as i have something to feed to my two kids i am ok, i will never have millions, thousands are not enough so moneys don't matter to me.

I was making 90k in my last job, I am so glad that I am not there anymore, the time with my kids and wife is priceless, they can keep their money, I keep my hapiness.

I'm all about family time, and it's a big part of why I'm going back to school to become a teacher. Nothing's more important to me than the welfare of my wife.

beside i can chose when i take out that one free hour i have per week, not waiting until some weird manager gives me holiday or sick leave

Yeah, the idea of constantly hustling for business in a field with next to no barrier to entry is one of many reasons why we decided not to base our incomes on wedding photography.

i will help you to get their printer offering to a pro level, improve customer satisfaction and boost sales:
buy epsons and put some nice HP sticker on it

yea they make it for 1 million probably :-D

you sure it is built by HP?, so far all products i seen of them, including their top line network switches and servers was something re-branded, with removed functionality and increased price

you're fortunate that you can make this decision. I walked away from the corporate cubicle six years ago and would only go back if I had no other options. answering to an endless chain of acronym regurgitating management is soul crushing, IMO.

a lot people wish they had even a $10/hr job to turn down, so make sure you enjoy yourself.
