I shot this family last Sunday at Blue Jay Orchards in Bethel, Connecticut. I bought a D800 from an FM member, but it's still in limbo with USPS somewhere, so all I had for this shoot was my D5100 and a borrowed 18-200. I'm hoping to find out what you all think of the shots, and perhaps show some of the new shooters out there that you can do a decent job with just average gear.
Thanks a lot guys. Everyone who's seen it seems to love that last one. The cool thing about it is that it was taken at the end of our session, when the kids were spent and everyone thought it was all over!
These images go to show that it takes the camera operator to take good shots, not the camera. People these days think the top of the line camera will produce the "best" images, but you've proved that the right operator using an entry level camera can do great.
