Kind of hard making majestic animals work in monochrome. Not sure I succeeded here....

It's such a good image, Chris, that it works here also.
(Not as well as in color IMO- but opinions are just that).
This looks tinted more than straight B&W, though.
I'd prefer a bit more overall contrast- but I'm a freak about that, so...

Thank you Charlie. I was playing around with duotones to add more drama.
Especially to the BG. More contrast? Looks much of it already.

Agreed, these can be real hit and miss for monochrome.

This one is a hit, and a big part of that for me is the particular tone you've chosen versus true black/white.

I am one for duotone, it works with this image quite well, gives it a nice, warm and a bit mysterious feel.

I havent looked at the color but will. I suspect it is beautiful.
This image has a subdued, classic beauty.
