Thanks Russ. I had a great shot of the runner in #3 in the same light with even better exposure, but it was just OoF enough to not include it. The photo immediatly proceeding the photo to which I am referring is the fourth one in the blog post.
As for the group shot, I was using flash and I wasn't entirely happy with the mixed color temperatures (as close they may be), but I thought it did a good job of knocking down the shadows.
You know, it's hard to make X-Country shots cool, but I think you did a pretty good job... I have a go at this in the next couple weeks myself, so thanks for sharing!

Thanks! The client liked them, so while that's always good, it's good to hear encouraging words from one's pears.
