I joined this site to ask this question:
Is this a camera carry case? Should I not re-purpose it for my intended use for an RC transmitter case? I got it at a garage sale for $4 and have seen enough antique roadshows where someone gets something valuable and hacks it for a different use.
I was going to grind out the rivets to remove the internal "pocket" for lens/film and spray-glue in some felt and foam.
But if this is indeed something other than a $4 case I won't do it.
I'd get better pics in daylight, but for now it's dark with flash.
I've got my Dremel in hand waiting to cut into it.
Well... I'm waiting party because the opening is narrower than the lower portion's width, so may be a hair too narrow to allow protective foam on the sides and I just wanted to make sure this wasn't anything more than a junky garage sale item before I hack it just to see if it'll work and throw it away if it doesn't.
I was just suspecting it was a camera case, hence asking here as it was towards the top of the Google search page.
