Ha! No kidding! Both P90X and Insanity will let you barf your way to good shape in a few months. It's very difficult and remarkable. Still, I wouldn't be caught dead with the Lunar!

Just in case through long experience with Hasselblad the serious photography company you've elected to give them the benefit of doubt, well doubt no more, Hassy has (unofficially) lost their marbles.

Sony Alpha Rumours say "no joke" - FWIW - apparently Hassy is planning a Blingified RX100 point and shoot.

Michael, I think that was posted on one of the other threads re. the Hassy. There was mention that they would offer 3 similarly designed cameras - A mirrorless, a P&S, and an SLR. I believe they (Hassy) are actually trying to use this concept as a selling point, which is of course ridiculous, but in their way of thinking apparently it makes sense.

Hassleblad:
- "All of your cameras will match"
- "Our cameras are so ugly they will make anything look beautiful"

I shudder to think that they will also skin the A99.

I am truly in awe of Hasselblad. Imagine investing all those resources into a practical joke. This is well within the domain of avant-garde art. It's so provocatively wrong in every aspect (from the exotic wood to the cheap 18-55 lens and the price tag) that it has to be deliberate. I think it will go down in history as a work of art comparable to Duchamp's "Fountain".

denoir, that's their only way out. Call it a practical joke, a new variety of corporate performance art.

Just call it off.

(For the record, I don't believe they intended their bling-NEX to be funny nor expect it to be ridiculed so soundly and from virtually every corner. That's what makes this so funny - it's a tragic comedy in every sense.)
