I notice exif says lens is glued at 300mm. This is why I stuck with 100-400L and that's usually glued at 400mm on 7D
Thanks... they are cropped but not to heavily. I have a 400 f/5.6L that I mainly use as my wildlife lens. The 70-300L is filling a need for something compact for hiking and places I don't want to bring a large lens (like the 400 or a 100-400).
It is my first lens with IS and I am impressed. Although I regularly handhold the 400L the IS makes it so much easier. It was the one thing I missed from my old Pentax system although it is much nicer to have the view finder stabilized
