can you recommend any good templates for invoices in excel?
Nope, made my own. But I used a lot of the ideas in John Harrington's book "Best Business Practices for Photographers." Harrington suggests using a single document that is quotation, contract, and invoice. I don't like having all the legalese of the contract in either quote or invoice, but I itemize the same things in all three.
