Great catch Rob...only suggestion would be to try and straighten it a bit, but your nerves are probably still bit frazzled!

Wow, quite an amazing display!

Hard to tell from the web sized image but if the file is technically very good it should make a very nice large print with just a little cropping and image adjustments.

I agree, a little light and the purple clouds glowing with several strikes at the same time=WOW

.
It seems straight, but does give the feel of being a hair tilted.

@philtax - this (lightning) is a rare occurrence in Christchurch. The aftershocks have quietened down a bit now. It just so happened that this storm happened on the two year anniversary of the first major EQ. Nature just letting us know she still has our address
