Sep 10 is the official unveiling, but sneak previews show a replacement for the Pro-B3. At 1000J, the new Pro-B4 has slightly less energy, but much shorter duration. Two heads are fully independent. Chassis has the D4 style of twin handles. The pack/head is water resistent - a first for Profoto - but I wouldn't use it in the rain. Modern LiFe battery is used, of course. Looks beautiful and expensive (life is like that).
If this is anything like the rest of Profoto's digital line, it's more efficient than the analog gear (so that 1000Ws is probably blasting out more light than the 1200Ws analog packs it replaces).
Profoto really knows how to make stuff look good. You just want to pick that up and start playing with it, preferably in a gorgeous studio somewhere in Gothenburg. Ten grand for a pack and head isn’t justifiable for tinkerers or bottom feeders, but it’s nice to dream.

Wow do I want this setup. 1000 w/s is perfect for most applications. Wow photo gear is getting crazy expensive. Does this have dual 1000 w/s outlets or dual 500's? I'm not seeing any indication of such.
Pro-7B does look discontinued, so you have three affordable options: buy a used Pro-7B, buy a used Pro-B2/3, or downgrade your location gear to AcuteB2.
