p.1 #1 · PC to imac possible switch

I am using a PC right now and thinking about switching to an imac 21.5" or a 27 " if I can swing it. Will I be able to license the Nikon NX2 over to the imac or do they make you purchase new software? I am also using photoshop CS5 and would like to switch it over to the mac without having to buy new software. Can this also be done. Thanks in advance for the info.

I don't know about Nikon, but Adobe let's you switch. No problem.

If you have an original CD for Capture NX2, I think you will have a product key code that you can use for both the Mac and PC version

I believe the same applies for the downloadable version

I downloaded NX2 and used my original code-no problem.
I went with the 27" and couldn't be happier!

I just downloaded CNX2 from Nikon and was able to install it on Lion. Thanks for all the info.

Adobe will generally allow you to switch platforms (Windows to OSX) for a nominal fee (like $30), BUT you must be on the current version. Since you have CS5, they will not change that license for you. You will have to at least upgrade it to the latest version (CS6) before they will let you change.

You might want to wait until the new iMacs come out.
Rumors they are finally ditching the horrible glossy display.
