Yesterday (8/23/2012) refurbished D700 prices were listed at $1979 on Nikon's online store, but as of today this price jumped $20 to $1999. Interestingly, refurbished D700s have been in stock for some time perhaps supply is starting to dwindle.
I should've stated in the subject line a modest price increase rather than jump in price; jump would indicate a substantial increase. Regardless, the price did increase slightly which I agree is by no means a cause for alarm. I realize many retailers have not had new stock for some time and given the latest news this past week suggesting the model has been discontinued for good it just seemed coincidental for the refurb price to increase even if only by a small amount.
