I think the crops are much better, than your first try. The sharpest photo is #2 and that has the action going away, which seldom makes a good photo (backs of heads).
I do see improvement and sports photography definitely takes practice to produce good photos. Most of us are still learning, so keep shooting and posting.
I'm not familiar with the first set, so I can't comment on the level of improvement. As far as framing and cropping, I'd say you're fine there, but as others have mentioned, exposure, sharpness, and color need improvement. I would guess some experience in post processing would help these.
