· Experience with TC-80N3 alternatives?
Hi all,
I'm planning on buying a Canon TC-80N3 but it'd be great if I could avoid Canon's insanely high price. Has anyone had experience with the cheap alternatives that I've seen on Ebay? I searched this forum but didn't find anything on the subject.
thanks,
Fergus

Go ahead and get a no-name one from an ebay vendor. Works just as well as the Canon equivalent at the fraction of the cost.
Been using one for around two years now primarily for time lapses. Haven't failed me yet.

Those threads are older so there are some newer/better ones available likely, but the Phottix and Aputure ones are supposedly good.

Agreed. Got a generic no-name one a couple years ago as well, never had an issue at all.
