um, wow. Yeah, I got nothing on that one...that is so cool, I have never heard of those...now I want to plant some for next year!

nicely done. My only thought here is I want to see more of the flower. But that may be the flower lover in me rather than the photographer.

"The stargazer lily is a recent hybrid that was first developed in 1978 by Leslie Woodruff,...The flower buds opened towards the sky, so Woodruff named this hybrid "Stargazer."

I like the shot as is.

Thank you everyone, glad you enjoyed the image. I have more shots of the flower, this one is just much more unique. Thank you Sadja for the background, it was a bit of a rhetorical question, but interesting tid bit none the less.

I little more sharpness and contrast in the styles might help guide the eye up, rather than pull it down.

BTW, quite like the color!

Can't illustrate it properly from the small jpeg. You'd need to go back and process from the original, I believe.
