I was in the middle of recording an unboxing video of my new Pocket Wizard Plus III unit and when I tested it out with a Plus II unit, I noticed something interesting. When the units are right next to each other, the Plus III doesn't trigger the Plus II 100% of the time. More like 40%. Any explanation?
I'm phoning this in because I haven't had my coffee yet (so please no nitpicky responses), but if there isn't enough distance, the radio waves cannot propagate correctly and are more like radio soup.
Check your manual if you need to use your PocketWizards at very very short distances. In general, having one antenna horizontal will get the most reliable triggering in that situation. Or if you're using a pack system, this is a good time to make use that long head cord.
