Something new for me. I was sitting on my deck, and the hummingbirds have been much more numerous this year. I ruined the old shutter on my 1DS2 on my first attempts to stop movement, so these are with my "new" 5D2. So I thought it would be fun (and easier on my shutter!) to try to capture movement and stillness, at the same time.
These are shot at 1/15th sec., with my Zeiss 80-200mm Vario-Sonnar.
Thanks for looking, comments appreciated.

Creative, interesting, different. None of which is easy to do!!
Really like the first but to me you have a bit more on top than I would choose. The negative white space against the BW bird works well conceptually and is elegant.
Second is my fav. Top bird appears to be emerging. Makes me think of birth, freedom. I wonder if the third would work better without the bird's body on the left and just the wisps of movement in the wings.
