p.1 #1 · AF settings for diving (pool) on 1D X / 5D Mark III?
What settings would choose for the 1D X or 5D3 to best capture spring-board diving action?
I used my 1D X for this today, mostly with a 70-300mm f/4-5.6L and I was a little disappointed. I had a higher ratio of out of focus photos than I'd hoped for. It was my first time using the 1D X to photograph a rapidly moving subject and I was using the 61-point automatic selection AF mode. I was panning the camera up, then down, as the diver jumped and the camera was moving focus points too, attempting to keep the diver in focus.
