Got a used 20D from a seller here arriving soon. I think I need to go pick up a CF card somewhere, but I'm not sure if there will be issues using a current generation card with this camera.
This is one of the best cards for a 20D. In this era of 1000X cards, this is probably considered a "slow" card but the 20D is slow writing and cannot go as fast as these 30MB/s cards. These Sandisk have been "Ultra" reliable, they will last a long, long time.
B and H wouldnt sell me a card bigger than 8 gig for my 30D I'm kinda skeptical but might stay at that size or less. Not sure if speed matters I have 30mb/s and 15.
I use the same Sandisk Extreme 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and Sandisk Ultra II 2GB and 4GB on my xti, 20D, 5Dc, 5D2 and now on 5D3 for several years now without any problem.
Okay. Thanks; wasn't sure if the storage standards had changed or if the cards would remain compatible with older devices. Sounds like there aren't really any issues to worry about. I got a 2GB ultra II at the drug store - dirt cheap and 2GB is plenty of room with the small raw files this thing produces.
