I'm contemplating a purchase of CZ Pancolar 50 1.8 MF lens for my Canon 5dc and I was hoping to find out whether or not it would interfere with the shutter mirror. Google wasn't of much help, so I thought I'd ask here.
There are different versions.
The zebra version definitely interferes but it can be fixed by filing off some metal from the rear retaining ring. (It's not the rear lens element itself that's in the way).
It is a great lens. I picked one up for $30 which was in pretty bad shape. I didn't think it would be anything special but it is an amazing perfomer - personally I like the image quality better than my Contax Planar 50/1.7. However, the mechanics are poor.
I believe some of the newer Pancolar electric versions don't interfere with the mirror.
