What do you do if parent(s) cannot attend? My wife and I shoot together so there are always 2 adults present but we were wondering if most of you require a parent to be present? We've had a couple cases where a friend came in place of the parent and we're not sure if we should be stickler's about the parent being there or not.

Thanks ed. Seems like the verdict is split on the issue. I think since my wife is always present and as long as they don't ride in the car with us we would be ok but I'd like to get a parental release signed if possible...

My wife assists me and I would be perfectly comfortable shooting without a parent since two adults are present. But two adults present is my steadfast rule.
Riding in the car has a lot of insurance implications since you are providing a professional service - if you have appropriate insurance that covers that specific situation then fine - if not, then not fine.

I get a release form from the parents if they won't be present. Otherwise I don't worry about it (though I should probably be getting one on every shoot).
