A blast from my past. Not since childhood in Los Angeles have I seen this delicious fruit (a neighbor had a tree).
This woman was selling loquats on the streets of Tashkent.
They're the most delicious fruit. We used to raid neighbors trees as kids.
Were We live in country Australia not many people cared for them and having been born in Lebanon we used to love eating them. So always on the look out for them and now can be purchased at fruit shops especially those run by Italian heritage owners.
Thanks for the comment.
The first time I bit into one was quite a surprise: the skin was thin and the seeds were really big.
But the fruit was delicious.
