This photo was from China, in the hunan province. In an area called "Heaven's door" mountain. Its a 1000 steps to reach the top of a natural opening (well rock slide i guess) in the mountain top.
I've upped the contrast and played with curves a bit. What do you guys think?
IMO it's much better with your change, Jason.
Below I went a step further (just to offer a contrasting opinion ).
I lassoed everything above the near ridge and applied 15% additional contrast. Then I did a little overall sharpening.
Not much different, and certainly not necessarily any better.
Whaddaya think?
