I have visited this field on many occasions, and have posted numerous shots from this vantage point over the years. This year there is a small patch of poppies, campion and and long tall dandelion type flowers just below the road behind me.
Last night i went and photographed the near full moon rising here and got eaten alive by the mosquitos, and yet still at 5am today they still wanted more of me
but soon as they arrived they vanished, thank goodness!
This sunrise was a bit of late starter as the initial cloud was think and took the edge of of it, but managed to get this shot.
Nikon 14-24mm @20mm f11 iso100, three shot blend. I think it was worth getting up for http://www.sussexlandscapephotography.co.uk/VU2R8696_2.jpg
That is one beautiful field! The sunrise really makes it shine.
Hopefully you are wearing a mosquito hat with netting for when the mosquitos are that bad. I picked up one from REI, and I don't have to use it often, but when I need it, it's so great to throw on and makes all the difference in the enjoyment factor.
Definitely worth the early start and the blood donation. At least it's well worth it for us! All the colors and composition work in great harmony in this image. Thanks for posting.
