Different and interesting. The stripe of blue at the bottom has a nice, organic feel to it. If you had not told me in the commentary, I probably would not have known this was done at the shore, but it does appear that it gave you a good, dark sky to work with.

The blue line is the wave breaking into the shore. To the naked eye, it looked somewhat blue and was fluorescent. The camera made it more blue and of course I bumped the saturation a bit for the Milkyway. It being so dark out there, I was surprised how much the wave lit up in front of me.
This is a lovely shot. The light in the water is probably the result of bioluminescent dinoflagellates. We had that phenomenon here on the Sonoma Coast and though ultimately it signaled the death of many shelfish and other sealife, it was beautiful to watch.
