After a full week of rain, unbearable heat waves, leaky roofs, and a few broken camera bodies and lenses, we survived another regional tournament. Here are a couple photos from this past week.

Shane... nice set indeed, with #10 being the one with the most wow factor for me. Great timing, but a nice set throughout.
Have to ask you though, where DID you find the inspiration for that last shot?
DJ,
there was no inspiration really for the shot, we do the boys tournament every year and we do a overhead shot when they all huddle in, so I was doing the overhead shot in Albany of the girls and the team was all huddled so I layed down and told them to look down at me and the shot looked better than the over head. It only works for the girls, I am sure it has been done before but thats the first time we did it.
I thought maybe you had seen the Alesse shot from around a year ago that was very similar, but regardless, the shot works very well and you did a great job with the flash balance. Hope the tournament goes better than ever this year... shoot the lights out! CHEERS.
Alesse and I are business partners and we do the shot for all the girls at the tournament, that's probably where the shot was posted from, I don't post photos very often so it's the first time I have posted one. Thanks a million for the support.
WOW Shane, these are simply stunning!
I don't know if I like 4 or 5 better (I wish the horizon was straight on 5, but I'm sure it would brobably crop into the foot if you straightened it).
Job well done!
Billy-
Solid set of photos … looks like there was some good action in these games (unlike the duds I shot a couple of weeks ago … sigh). Really like the first shot of the catcher. DJ and I were actually talking about one of the group shots that Paul posted here a while back so I knew right away which photo he was talking about.
It was a great tournament to cover there was a lot of great action and the girls are really fun to photograph, they really are willing to play it up for the camera. There are so many photos besides the action that really tell a story. It's really great to see the girls getting more and more recognition for there sport.
