Just uploaded a version that had all the exif data in it. Is that what you were referring to?
Nope. Either you had it originally or I caught it after you uploaded it.
The point I was making is that if somebody wants to praise or brag about a point of fine image detail (like noise / cleanliness at high ISO), then a web size image doesn't cut it. It is good to post a small resize of the whole image like you did to provide context, but without a 100% crop or two (limited to 720 px wide), we can't tell a thing about the noise performance in that image.
Yes, Michael, it is impressive. 1DX can handle high ISO extremely well, so much so, that I haven't had to use "Neat Image" NR since I started shooting with 1DX.
Yesterday I did ISO 1600, today I did 6400, and I am looking at the files asking myself: "What's wrong here, where is the frigging noise ?" (Please note my in-camera noise cleanup has been turned off.)
The scene is well lit from both sides with no real shadows .. so I'm really not that impressed with this ISO 8000 sample .. even at 100%. To be honest that scene should and could have easily been shot at ISO 400. Your settings were 1/200 at 5.6 which is fairly bright.
Show me some 1/30 at 2.0 at ISO 8000 shadows that need pushing in post if you want to impress me
