My guess is: I don't think the 1DX is flying off the shelves.
It's out of stock in most shops around the world. And most of the people are still waiting to get it from their pre-orders a couple of months ago. And you don't think they sell many
Would you give a $50. off coupon on something you couldn't keep in stock due to "high demand". I just think this camera ( for the price) leaves a lot to be desired, mainly it is just 18 mp.

Who cares about a $ 50 coupon when it cost $ 6799. It's not like people will buy a lot of those because they gave you a 0,7% rebate

I would if it meant someone choose to buy it from my store instead of a competitor.

They are not flying off the shelves at my local camera shack here in Seattle either. They still had a nice pile as of yesterday. Stock looks the same as it did 2 weeks ago.

1Dx it's in high demand for professional sports use. Who cares about MPs, if you want MPs get Nokia mobile phone with 40MP... cheap too .
I got a Nokia but I can't put my 600mm lens on it: D

So give us a link to the shop. Then we can send a few of those people there that are looking for that camera

Correct. The camera is still in demand by some professional (sports) shooters, but mostly out of stock due to limited supply for this high end camera. Demand will not be extraordinarily high due to the weak economy and limited amount of people who want to spend this amount of money for a camera right now (this includes professionals). And the 18 MP full frame sensor is of course an additional issue (used here as IMO weak compromise/excuse to obtain higher fps rate).
I do know that in Canada some pre-orders have not been filled yet. Probably the reason is in a limited number of 1DX bodies that have been alloted to the dealers so far. Furthermore, I am told that
Canadians are not as big on pre-ordering stuff as our big time spending neighbours down south. We like to walk into a store and do a physical act of purchase.
I got my 1DX from a major Canon Canada dealer. They had just one body which was not spoken for, and I was in touch with them at the right time.
I also had to act fast before some keen Yank, such as Netexpress, snatches it away from my hold.
