Went up to the Mt. Baker area earlier this week and didn't shoot much of the Mts. due to the mid day light. The lower Lakes ( Picture and Harwood ) are totally clear. Artist ridge still has 10 - 20 ft. of snow, but the parking lot is clear. Here are a few shots on or around mid day near Artist Ridge. I really had fun playing with snow abstracts, but that's another post. I hope you enjoy them and let me know any ideas or comments on the shots. Thanks Rick
Those are some clouds! Not bad for midday. My favorite is #2 for its composition and the light in that one looks like it could be late afternoon because of the warm tone.
Rick,
These are quite nice... the highlights & shadows on the clouds in the first two shots create a sense of depth in the images. I also like your use of foreground trees in these two images.
Bev - Thank you for the comment. It turned out to be bright and beautiful up there. I was happy with how these turned out.
Bruce - From up there it seems like you can see into the heavens. Thanks for the the support.
Thanks again for the comments. Rick
