Unless I'm seeing something incorrectly, for some reason, the 2 pack of the 32 GB 400x CF cards is actually more expensive than 2 individual 32 GB 400x CF cards.
Not for the 1000x though, twin pack is least expensive then two single 32gb and then worst deal is a single 64gb card.

I bought my first 1GB "microdrive" for $500 when the Canon D30 was released. I still have it for collection.
I still use that 1GB card for a quck shot of something around the house, once in a while...It fell apart years ago after I kept dropping it(including in the water). I kind of glued the outer shell together, but it's really flimsy and fits the back to the front...
Oh, and then a few months later I was told on this forum that I was crazy for shooting weddings with such a large card as it was way too many eggs in a basket.
6mp camera x1gb card. Now we shoot with 16-24mp and 16-64GB cards and for some reason, even though the ratio is really high, nobody thinks it's too many eggs.

Why are there rebates - are new cards in the offing?
The cards look to be stocked out now.

UMDA 7 is latest standard and these 1000x Lexar cards are pretty new. Same thing happen with the sandisk extreme pro when B&H were selling the 32gig cards for $99.
I think these Lexar cards are very good value at the current discounted price. My 32gig cards have been shipped :-)

I took this as an opportunity to upgrade my memory card inventory for the first time in a couple of years. I have a quick question that I hope someone can answer. Will the 400x and 1000x CF cards be compatible with my 2 year old card reader or will I have to get a new card reader?

The old reader will work. It may not take full advantage of the high speed of the new cards, but it will work.

Damn bought mine a few weeks a go and even with the rip-off B&H shipping costs it would have saved me $70 on the 32GB card. But is is this a US only rebate?
