I really like this sensor and hope Nikon does the right thing and put's it in a D800 size body (D400) and it gets announced in the next couple of weeks along with a new 80-400 AF-S VR or 300/4 AF-S VR. If this does not happen by the end of September then I'll lose all faith in Nikon.

don't hinge all your faith on all that happening
i suspect the d400's sensor will be different and much better on DR anyway and probably iso as well
an 80-400 afs is over due
personally i don't care about vr on long lenses and my 300/4 AFS is superb as is

There are third party battery grip for D3200 which makes it more hefty and ergonomic with longer zooms. those grips also take AA for extra weight or you can put a piece of lead beside the regular battery in it and make it even more heavy.
Add a 1.36x VF magnifier for the viewfinder making it pro-level and also seal the cracks using electric tape for weather proofing...
