They have pretty much picked the picture apart over at CR.. Plenty of cloned pixels on barrel, and front lens seem to be lifted from a 24-70/2.8 Mk2 pic
Oh man! That'd be... well, I'll just say I'd want one. Heck, even just adding IS to the current 135L would make me happy, but imagine if this is real, and with the new coatings and whatever other new technology they applied to the 70-200 2.8L II and presumably to the 24-70 2.8L II. It could well be worth the $2499 price tag I'd predict.

Well if it's a fake that's a darn good rendering!
I don't even want to think about how much that ones gonna cost. I happy with my present 135L.
Yup, it is a good PS job if that's fake. Although the current lens is excellent but the IS and the f/1.8 speed would be awesome. Is there a waiting list anywhere ?
It would be $2500 + in price unless made in Malaysia Also size is too small for F1.8, but possible. So, good time to buy current model if you didn't until now....
Holy shit batman, it looks real even if it's fake looks and damn sexy. Count me in like Flynn. It's what I've been dreaming of for years and would be of far more interest than a 200 f/2. Even at $2500 that's still less than half the 200 price and I'm not sure it would be that much though at least $2K. Interestingly it would still only have a 75mm front element.
I see they went to some trouble to modify the distance limiter switch settings. MFD of 0.8m rather than 0.9m on the 135 f/2.
Wrong coating. . . . certain things look strange. Maybe it is a mockup that Canon has in mind. Both ends of the lettering USM as pointed out and the first part of Caonon, is also tilted. It would be fun though, plenty of fun.
