p.1 #1 · 5D Mk III

Does anyone have a issue with the sync speed on a 5D MkIII? Mine seems to have a problem at 1/200th. There is a faint vignette from the shutter that visible when shooting on a white BG. At 1/160th, it goes away.

Well, you could, if you like, help us, if you want to, by telling us how you are synching the flash and which flash is it.

Alien Bees, 600EX, 580EX, cable sync off camera, Pocket Wizards, Cactus, optical slave, optical sync via Canon system, hotshoe, ... ?

But only if you really want to.

I trigger AB800s with PWII and the 5D mkIII - I **CANNOT** use 1/200th - I get a black area along one side of the frame. I can however use it at 1/200th with a 580EX on the camera. I have not tried it at 1/200th with a PWII and a 580EX.
