p.1 #1 · Approaching Squall

A friend and I headed for a large poppie field on Sunday eve, though they where past there best, as i was unable to get there before hand due to other reasons.

As he left for another location, i waited around to see what would becomeof the light. a few other photogs at this point where hanging around, but as the situation changed they got out of there
This storm cloud initially appeared to stay south, leaving me i thought with the edge and a light spattering of dampness. shortly after it turned in land, complete with lightning and it RAINED big time!. So standing in the middle of a field with the cam on top of the CF tripod i was waiting for a touch down but it never came. Shortly after this 2 shot pano, the rain began to the point i could not shoot until i turned and faced the other way and using my back as a shield. As i turned a big rainbow showed up, changed to the 14-24 and and had not completely got setup when a big fork of lightning struck through the center, damit!!!!!! oh well.

Heres the first shot:

was a tough blend this one, not because of the light, just a big dollop of rain on the lens

Sick photo...lightning through rainbow sounds ridiculous. Hold a rocket blower when in the rain to blow off drops quickly. Way to stick it out!
