Love the shadows of the clouds. A favorite scene of mine presented beautifully. While I do like the bw, the earthy colors in the first are too good to pass up. Nice work
Acadia is such a beautiful place. I cannot wait to get back there. I like the black and white version of the image, it just has some inexplicable beauty to it...

Got some other feedback: two hippos partly submerged. I tried to explain the difficulty of composing the shot since its not easy to get the hippos to hold their breath on command!

are you planning a return, or dreaming of the day.......?
I think that I just enjoy monochrome landscapes more than color ones... something about the tonality in the black and white image seems to make this rendition more powerful and breathtaking.
I want to visit Acadia again... it's been a long time.
