I recently backpacked in Kings Canyon to catch a few sunset and sunrise shots in the national park. I wasn't disappointed when I saw some storm clouds rolling in, which gave a much more interesting photo. I usually like to post one photo after my trip, just one that stuck out the most and then update later with my other photos a few months later. Well here is a shot of Kearsarge Lake during sunset.
Very cool! I might have walked past you, depending on when you were out there. I shot sunset there about a week ago, but was closer to the lake. I like this angle more, but was definitely too tired/lazy to trek up the hill for the sake of the shot.
cohenxa - I do have a few more photos from the trip, I just haven't had time to go through all of them.
Jeffrey - Thanks! It is one of my favorite National Parks because of its remoteness. It also isn't as well known compared to the others.
JimFox - Thanks Jim, I had an opportunity to either stay at the lake, and get a shot there, or suck it up and hike a few hundred feet up for this shot. I really wanted to get the overview shot with all three lakes forming Kearsarge Lake.
bschmalz - do you have some shots from your trip?
Aaron Cowan - Thanks, I noticed that the clouds on the right were a little hot.
