Hi all,
I in the process of creating a website about Canon Lenses, where you can compare them, I link to the best reviews etc.
I would love to have some high quality pictures of all lenses, but have not been able to find anything on their website - just the low-quality ones on the product pages.
I also tried writing to their press-contact, but have gotten no answer yet.
Does anybody have any ideas about how I can get my hands on some good pictures?
It goes without saying, that it needs to be a legal and legitimate method.

Well, maybe you could start with text-based links to review sites that have high quality images of the lenses. After all, you gotta have it to take a photo of it. Over time, as you get your own hands on more of them, you can take your own photos.

Which "press-contact" did you write to? If you're located in Iceland (as your profile states), did you write directly to the official Canon division/office for Iceland or to the regional European offices? Here's a link for a whole bunch of Canon PR contacts in Europe.
