Probably a tripod is a good solution. For MF lens we need let the contrast to speaks out itself .

I had it on a tripod, the problem was the wind. Maybe next time I would need some way of holding the plants steady or a wind screen of some sort. It is quite often very windy in the mountains where I live.

Now is really nice, love that color and contrast. But a small question about the camera: which is it?M120 is a decent Apo lens, but in the eye of that "creature" I see the purple instead of a white flash, so I have a little doubt about the sensor purple fringing.

Thanks. I had it on the 7D. That is a very bright catch light from the sun, comes out with very minimal adjustment in LR4.

Here is from Mir ( ARSAT) 26B 45mm , this is Russian medium format lens for KIEV, Pentacon 6.Told me this is a Zeiss optical copy, and Hartblei takes the optical part to make their-own tilt-shift Hartblei with 15 more times price.I see that's very Zeiss, sharp and as usual medium format contrast, already as I expected when ordered it.The built reminds the Leica, heavy and reliable.Focusing is the same as my other Zeiss lenses.Very please with it.

May I ask how do you convert these MF lenses to work on digital SLRs (such as Canon EOS)? And which lenses are more suitable for the conversion & also worth converting (taken into account their price & quality compared to standard slr lens (canon/alt) )

If this is covered somewhere else, on the forum, if you'd be so kind to point me to that discussion..

I'm asking as I'm not a tech person and I don't think I can convert a lens myself...

The lenses aren't "converted" (inferring lens modification) ... they simply use an "adapter" (think extension tube) between the lens and the camera that has two different mounts on each end (appropriate for the lens and body in use).

You can find adapters for virtually all combinations of MF lenses to DSLR because the image circle of the larger format lens is larger, it covers the sensor very well and has a longer registration to allow for the space needed for the adapter.

Adapters abound ... my preference is Fotodiox Pro adapters @ bang for the buck (imo). My MF glass of choice is Mamiya M645.
