Couple images from this past weekend in Newport, RI. Tall Ships Festival was going on and I really like the first shot alongside the "Summerwind" Vessel. C&C always appreciated, thanks for checking out my work!

7. and at the end I whipped out my new 300 f2.8L IS II what a fantastic lens!
I've got the mk I of the 300mm f/2.8L IS and it does perform optimally impressively.
What settings did you shoot photo 1 with?
I'd really like a much smaller depth of field.
This may be subjective because others may like the misc. ropes from the boat, however, I find Mr. Purple Shirt in the bottom left distracting.
Shot 4 would be my favourite. Although I'd prefer a closer crop. Did you use the 300mm for this shot?
Like the fire extinguisher in photo 5, same cannot be said for the rubbish bin.
Great bokeh in 6. What lens were you using?
everything is great. who am I to critic.
but no 7, you can use photoshop cs5 and above.
use lasso tool, right click, fill, use content aware..
if not enough, do it twice.
I did using your image, it works well.
hopefully you haven't send the printed one to the client yet
Thanks so much! I cropped the person in the pink shirt out of #4 but it just didn't look right in #7. I'm still learning photoshop and I'm going to try the lasso tonight to remove her. I'm going to give the client some tighter crops also, maybe portrait rather than landscape.
The entire set was shot with the Canon 200 f2L IS and the 300 f2.8L IS II. I love the look I get from this glass and feel like I can't get the same bokeh, colors & contrast with my others. #1 was shot with the 200 at 3.2. I didn't want all the vessels ropes to be blurred into cream.
