FM's own Cam Benedict and his amazing bride Cas!
We were honored to have had the opportunity to shoot their wedding and in the process become great friends with them.
Cam has done a lot for us as well, shooting, assisting, running the photobooth, and shooting the breeze about film with me for hours on end.
I am not putting #s because I am not expecting massive amounts of critique as is standard fare when we put up shots of fellow FM'ers.
If you want to crit please only critique our photos.
Note: One thing I noticed is that we shot and showed a lot of portraits. I suppose I have been on a portrait kick lately....
happy viewing
Doug
I teared up when Doug first posted them on his blog. Not even kidding a little.
Not only were they good pics, but there was a lot of happy and a lot of sad emotion's that came flooding back. Unfortunately my grandfather passed away from pancreatic cancer a little under a month before our wedding. He had held on longer than expected and he did it solely to care for my grandmother (who has alzheimers) until he absolutely could not help her anymore. As a tribute to my mothers father(Korean conflict vet), my father's father, and my mother's father's father (greatgrandpa) as well as Cassie's grandfather, we had our parents bring their flags forward in the processional.
Doug did an amazing job capturing this as well as making me look like I wasn't stifling sobs for the first 5 minutes of the ceremony!
Dude, these are awesome. Great coverage, great portraits, and great details all around. I absolutely love the large format shots. I'm telling you, I think you'll be known for those shots if you keep them up. Also, you've been nailing your B&W's lately dude. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it. I see that Cam thought like a photographer and got the big white tent for the reception. What a good man. Congrats Cam and Cas. Looks like a beautiful wedding, and you chose a fine photographer to cover it.
