Michael the berries are superb like this a lot, gorgeous tones and light. .
Bobby fantastic clean images the reds and oranges fantastic ,offset by the white mask, very theatrical and the setting is imaginative. Just hope you did not step back a little bit to far.

She has had to watch her step ... not me. Thanks Julian!
I forced myself to go out today, camera in hand - one month after the passing of my wife of 57 years. I found thid Coopers Hawk in PA. I used the 45-200 Lumix and the Metz 50 flash on the OM-D. He wasnt to cooperative. He finally turned around, looked up and flew up-ward to grab some type of bird, as a shower of feathers came raining down upon me. looked like a piegon .

That lens is for sale locally me, as apart of a second hand package, of a EP 2? camera( Cannot remember the exact model) the 14-42 Olympus and Panasonic 45-200mm. lenses .Price in toatal is about 60% of the Panasonic 45-200 purchased separately new.
Looking on the web your image quality seems to defy what most write up about this lens at the 200mm end.
Thanks for all the kind comments about my loss. I purchased the 45-200 Lumix from Michael49. Ive been very impressed with it, as i believe he was also. Heres a shot of a Puffin taken on an island off Nova Scotia last summer. I used it on a G2 mounted on a gun stock that i made. Hope its ok to show it here, since we are discussing this lens.

That's a nice shot Harry, glad to see you putting the lens to good use.
Most of the shots in my link are made with an Canon 40D and 100-400L that I used to own in the past. I would like to do this type of photography again but I am wondering if the OM-D is up to it (C-AF wise) and which lens I should buy for this... (I've just bought the OM-D a couple of weeks ago and have not had the chance yet to shoot action with it)
Oh and since this is a image related thread, here are two shots I recently made with my new OM-D
At what focal length were those shot? 1.6 x 400 = 640mm equivalent at the long end, which would require a 320mm lens on the E-M5. I am not sure that there is something that long which is sharp enough (and which focuses accurately enough with motion going on). Once focused, I don't think that following would be an issue, since the initial focus is probably good enough for a series at that distance with a slow lens.
I checked the focal length of the flight show shots, most of it is shot between 300 and 400mm.. But since the OM-D has a higher resolution I thought I might get away with just 400mm and crop some more?
But like I said, I am worried about the OM-D AF performance too during these action shots... Thats just another reason why I am debating with myself if it is even worth it to spend money on a consumer grade zoom lens like the 45-200. Cause at the end of the day, my funds are not unlimited... (and my wish list for this year still contains a Oly 60mm macro and a Canon 5D mk III )
Hi Mark.
Help or some answers here fro Jo Hunter. She shoots airshows with EOS and recently added an Oly OM-D. She on FM, City,Street & Architechure, Mustang Air to Air. Her post are called Futurshox. My guess would be no to your question.
Cheers

Your air show image link reminded me of summer 2012. We have the red arrows come to Fowey each year. Many people flock to the cliff tops and many arrive by boat, be it cruisers or fishing vessels. It is a spectacular setting in the mouth of the river Fowey to have this air show. I am not sure how it originated but it is very popular. These I took when I first had the OM-D. Not great shots but I am sure if I had had the 75mm then it may have been a bit better. Fortunately for us the cloud was low so the planes needed to fly very low into and out of the estuary. No the tracking was not any good but the fact I could get focus so quick helped. lets say i got a lot more keepers than with the 5DMK2.
I also had the EF 100-400 and being daft I traded it in for the 400mm f5.6. having said that the 400mm in a lot lighter and smaller , but not as versatile . Sometimes I wish i had kept the 100-400.
Nothing as good as your own images as it is not something I normally do, but good to record an event.
