Taken May 25 2012 of a storm literally just south of me across the interstate. (I was just on the north side) Got a bit hairy as the storm was moving somewhat towards me and I worried it might cross. These were all shot with the Tokina 11-16 2.8 . . . just to give you an idea how close this storm was.
Various long exposures. Very extreme shooting... precip and strong winds... plus a damned tornado coming at you. Some lightning. (which resulted in some of the brighter exposures)
You see lights from vehicles passing... likely unaware of the danger lurking just south of their location. Tornado was rated an ef-2 (out of a 0-5 scale) and destroyed a mobile home. Fortunately no major injuries.
Wow, that is pretty wild. You captured it pretty well despite the adverse conditions. The car lights are a pain, yet they do help to identify the horizon. #1 and 3 stand out to me.
