Really gorgeous stuff Gabe, you know I love your work right?!
Agreed on the church shot. Out of this world. The hug is pretty special too. I have got some criticisms about this set though. For me, early on in particular, there is too much focus on stuff other than the people. I'm all for details and seeing around the obvious, but for me, the people end up feeling like they've been overlooked a touch.
The cuff, the shoe, the glasses, the pour, the detritus etc. I love them as individual images, but as a set I feel like I'm losing the identity of who these people are. Overall the work is superb and you makeup for it later on in a big way but it was just a thought I had while looking over this set.
Tony...i really didn't shoot details however i did shoot things happening around me. this "is" the day...these are little moments that are going on during their day. besides the shoes and the half drank champagne glass that's really it for "details" i don't feel i need to solely concentrate on just the bride or the groom and what exactly it is that they are doing the entire getting ready process. from my experience my couples love seeing these little moments that they missed going on around them.
i thank you for your honest feedback but i just wanted to let you know my thoughts on it. we all shoot differently and that's a-okay
Love your work, good to see something from you. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's alien skin or VSCO or whatever, your processing always looks awesome.
